Welcome to LNMS

LNMS members are qualified to teach students subjects related to mechanics and numerical modeling. We are involved in teaching at the first and second levels of the Bologna engineering program. Students join our group during the regular study process when writing seminar papers and final theses, as well as in the case of doctoral studies.

Research and projects

Industrial projects
We carry out such projects in direct cooperation with companies or through tenders. Projects usually involve either helping to eliminate problems or weaknesses in the technological process of manufacturing products, or assisting in the design and/or development of a new product. Individual projects are short-term because the company needs results as quickly as possible. The success of the projects is reflected in the satisfaction of our customers, product patents, and awards received.

Scientific research
Research projects are longer-term and usually stem from or are related to applied projects. It is mostly carried out in the fields of numerical methods used in computer simulations with the finite element method, in the fields of multiphysical modeling (thermomechanics, electromagnetism and mechanics, fluid-solid interaction analysis, biomechanics, etc.), in the development of optimization methods for the purpose of inverse identification of material properties, etc. The success of the research is reflected in the implementation of our own programs in applied projects and in the success of publications in prestigious international scientific journals.
